Massage Therapy

MASSAGE THERAPY – Registered Massage Therapist (RMT)

Your RMT reviews your health history to determine your treatment needs and goals, whether it is relaxation, relief from chronic pain, muscle tension or stress management.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage releases the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep finger pressure on the tight areas. Strokes follow or go across the grain of muscles, tendons and connective tissue. This work focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue, as the name indicates.

Sports Massage (Pre-event, Post-event or Ongoing Training)

Specifically designed to address the common aches and pains suffered by athletes, customized to the major muscle groups used in your sport. The session incorporates customized stretching techniques and application of a soothing athletic gel.

Swedish Massage

The therapist kneads individual muscles and uses massage oil to facilitate making long, smooth strokes over the body.

Injury Specific Massage

Involves therapeutic assessment, followed by customized sessions focused on the specific manipulation of connective tissue, soft tissue, tendons and ligaments to reduce pain and dysfunction. Sessions are designed to focus specifically on prevention and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal dysfunctions.
