Chiropractic Care
Chiropractic Health is one of the largest primary contact health care professions in Canada.
Chiropractors practice a drug-free, manual approach to wellness care that includes patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disorders related to the spine, muscles, nervous system, and joints.
Over 4.5 million Canadians rely on chiropractic care every year to deal with problems such as acute low-back pain, neck pain and headaches.
No referral is required to visit a Doctor of Chiropractic.
Most of our services are covered by Insurance Company Benefits, however a referral may be required for certain treatments.

F.A.Q.s
Are Chiropractic adjustments safe?
Chiropractic Adjustments are specific, targeted, focused. Adjustments help reduce nervous system interferences and reconnect the vital communication link between your brain and your body.
What conditions are treated by chiropractic?
Corrective and preventive postural issues due to work, recreation and sports. This includes Chronic Neck & Lower Back Pain and other muscular-skeletal conditions, such as shoulder pain or joint pain, headaches, migraines, hip, knee, ankle and foot pain.
How long does this take and how soon will I feel better?
Although you may feel immediate improvement after just a few treatments, a full correction of the condition may not take effect until the supporting muscles and ligaments are fully adjusted to the new position of the vertebrae. This varies with each individual person. Just like you go to the dentist twice a year for dental checkups you need to go to the chiropractor for spinal checkups. If you have had any slips, falls or traumas you should go for immediate treatments.
What can I expect on my first visit?
The first thing a chiropractor will do is to ask you about the health complaints which you are chiefly concerned. The DC will also ask about your family history, dietary habits, other care you may have had (chiropractic, osteopathic, medical, etc.), your job, and other questions designed to help determine the nature of your illness and the best way to go about treating you!
Can I tell if I have a subluxation?
Not always. A subluxation is like a dental cavity–you may have it for a long time before symptoms appear. That’s why periodic spinal checkups are so important. Although it may be possible to know you have a subluxation, it is rarely possible to be sure you don’t. Regular spinal checkups are always a good idea, and they promote good health from the inside out.
What are some warning signs of subluxations?
Symptoms such as headaches, back pain, neck stiffness, pain in your shoulders, arms or legs, numbness in your hands or feet, fatigue, or nervousness are the most common signs of subluxations. But, like a tooth cavity, most people will have a subluxation long before they notice any symptoms.
Why is chiropractic care also wellness care?
It’s a natural method of health care that focuses on correcting the causes of physical problems, rather than just treating the symptoms. Chiropractic is based on a simple but powerful premise: with a normal functioning spine and healthy nerve system, your body is better able to heal itself.
That’s because your spine is the lifeline of your nervous system. It controls feeling, movement, and all function through your body. With improved spinal function, there is improved nervous system function. The goal of the chiropractor is to remove interference that may be impairing normal health through specific chiropractic adjustments, allowing your body to heal itself. A healthy spine and a healthy lifestyle are your keys to optimal health!
